A Metric Coupling Nut is a hexagonal nut with an extended body usually used to couple two studs together.

-Heat treated to tensile strength class 10.
-For joining two studs DIN 6379.
-Minimum thread reach should be 1 x diameter.
-For functional and safety purpose bolts and studs to be coupled should be screwed in an either side to half the length of the nut.
